There, he shot, directed, and edited the documentary Generational, focusing on a successful business founded by Cuban immigrants. The documentary was featured in Re:Imagine’s Dreamfest.

Tyler also studied at the USC School of Cinematic Arts Summer Filmmaking Intensive, where, over the course of six weeks, high school students are expected to produce and deliver five short films. Since then, Tyler has written and directed a number of films as well as gaffed a number of larger, higher-scale projects, including Echoes of Justice (2025) and The Desk (2026). Some of his own projects include Home for a Week, Voicemail, and Do Not Disturb. As a filmmaker, Tyler’s goal is to amplify young voices, using modern topics like social media as a storytelling tool, amplifying and reflecting modern issues for today’s teenagers
